Audrey Zhang
I'm pursuing a PhD Dual Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Princeton Materials Institute at Princeton. I currently research dragonfly biology and origami engineering to prototype new technology.
I was also a member of Princeton's Class of 2025, and I majored in Art and Archaeology (Art Practice Track) with minors in Creative Writing, Statistics and Machine Learning, and East Asian Studies. I'm also passionate about working toward sustainability, dancing (breaking and hip hop), and producing music.
Trained in traditional art, I create projects informed by the mathematical precision of Renaissance paintings and the atmospheric quality of Impressionist work. My watercolors draw inspiration from Pre-Raphaelite art as well. Painting has helped me cultivate my self-awareness and appreciate for the little things in life, like flowers and sunshine.
I'm interested in creating technology at the intersection of art and science. At Princeton, I plan to learn more about artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and soft robotics.
